Experimental Atomic Molecular and Optical Physics
at the University of Nevada, Reno
We use cryogenic cooling and laser spectroscopy to study atoms and molecules trapped in solid neon and parahydrogen at temperatures of a few degrees above absolute zero.
Currently we are exploring:
Electron spin coherence of atoms for quantum sensing
Control and detection of the spin state of single atoms for quantum sensing
Nuclear spin coherence of molecules for fundamental physics
